Blooming Grove ISD issued the following announcement.
The Commissioner of Education has directed schools to create district calendars that are capable of responding to another possible school closure due to Covid-19. In response to this directive, and considering the educational needs of our students, the school board recently approved a revised district calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. The changes are as follows:
- School starts one day earlier on August 18th
- There are only two early release days, down from four days
- February 15th is now a school day. Previously, it was a student holiday
- The school day starts 10 minutes earlier and ends 15 minutes later for all schools
