Central Texas College issued the following announcement.
Central Texas College (CTC) recently announced its employees and department of the year during a recent video ceremony. Also announced was the Chancellor’s Award recipient and the Student’s Choice award winner for favorite faculty member.
Earning Employee of the Year honors for the CTC Fort Hood, Continental, Europe and Navy campuses were Aurora Macaraeg, lab technician – Hospitality Programs-Fort Hood, and Gerard Walsh, site director – Bolling Air Force Base. The central campus non-academic employees of the year are Gilda Pinto, office specialist II – Employment Services, and Erica Burton, web and digital media manager – Marketing and Outreach. The academic employees of the year at the central campus are Ramona Morris, office assistant II – Fine Arts, and Guadalupe Bluhm de Saldivar, professor – Hospitality Programs.
The Department of the Year was won by the Department of Health Sciences which includes the nursing, emergency medical technology/paramedic, phlebotomy, medical laboratory technician, histology and massage therapy programs. CTC Chancellor Jim Yeonopolus selected Cathy Flowers, supervisor – Custodial Services, as the winner of the Chancellor’s Award. The Student Choice award for favorite faculty member, as voted on by students, was presented to Richard Moore, professor – Science department, Service Area campus.
