There were 52 Hispanic students enrolled in Mount Calm ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 11.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Mount Calm ISD schools welcomed 168 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 31% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Mount Calm ISD roughly covers schools within Hill County and has a main office in Mount Calm.

Among the two schools in Mount Calm ISD schools, Mount Calm ISD recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 51 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
