How many students were enrolled in Mart ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 588 students enrolled in Mart ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.5% of them were girls, and 49.5% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Mart ISD students was white, accounting for 47.6% of the student population.

Mart ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County with its main office in Mart.

Among the two schools in Mart ISD, Mart Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 346 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
