Enrollment Analysis: American Indian students comprised 0.3% of China Spring ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 10 American Indian students enrolled in China Spring ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 42.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that China Spring ISD schools welcomed 2,958 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

China Spring ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County and has a main office in China Spring.

Among the five schools in China Spring ISD schools, China Spring High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of four students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
