Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 21% of Mart ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 112 Hispanic students enrolled in Mart ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Mart ISD schools welcomed 533 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 21% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Mart ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County and has a main office in Mart.

Among the three schools in Mart ISD schools, Mart Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 67 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
