There were 2,958 students enrolled in China Spring ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.6% of them were boys, and 48.4% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 65.4% of the China Spring ISD total enrollment.

China Spring ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County with its main office in China Spring.

Among the five schools in China Spring ISD, China Spring Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 932 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
