Axtell ISD Education: 758 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 758 students enrolled in Axtell ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 74.8% of the Axtell ISD total enrollment.

Axtell ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County with its main office in Axtell.

Among the four schools in Axtell ISD, Axtell Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 354 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
