Enrollment at Mart ISD schools decreased by 1.5% compared to previous school year

There were 533 students enrolled in Mart ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.7% of them were boys, and 46.3% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Mart ISD students was white, accounting for 48% of the student population.

Mart ISD roughly covers schools within McLennan County with its main office in Mart.

Among the three schools in Mart ISD, Mart Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 310 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
