There were 135 students enrolled in Iredell ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 57.8% of them were boys, and 42.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 67.4% of the Iredell ISD total enrollment.

Iredell ISD roughly covers schools within Bosque County with its main office in Iredell.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
