Enrollment at Marlin ISD schools slightly increased compared to previous school year

There were 882 students enrolled in Marlin ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.9% of them were boys, and 47.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were African American, representing 54.9% of the Marlin ISD total enrollment.

Marlin ISD roughly covers schools within Falls County with its main office in Marlin.

Among the three schools in Marlin ISD, Marlin Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 459 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
