Cost of college went up for all students at Baylor University

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Baylor University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $45,542 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,752 more than the $43,790 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 3,177 students received grants or scholarships totaling $80.9 million and 1,563 students took out student loans totaling more than $17.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (17,217), 13,027 students used grants or scholarships totaling $291.2 million, and 6,046 students took out $41.2 million in federal student loans.
