Belton Independent School District issued the following announcement on July 8
In a call with the Commissioner of Education late Tuesday, school districts across the state received long-awaited public health guidance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) regarding protocols for reopening schools.
In Belton ISD district leaders are already deep into designing response plans for the upcoming school year through a process that has included cross-departmental collaboration. Our next step is to hold TEA’s guidance up next to our drafts and see where we align and where we may need to make adjustments.
A key component of district planning for the 2020-2021 school year includes parents having a choice for in-person or virtual learning. Both options will provide exceptional learning experiences for each and every student.
More information will be shared next week with stakeholders as the district sets up additional opportunities for staff, students and parents to provide feedback.
