On April 17, 2025, Pete Sessions acknowledged the 50th anniversary of Nucor Steel Texas in a tweet. Sessions remarked on the importance of Nucor, stating "It was a privilege to join Nucor Steel Texas in celebrating their 50th anniversary! As North America's largest steel manufacturer, Nucor plays a vital role in powering American industry and I’m proud that TX-17 is home to one of their outstanding bar steel mills."
The same day, Sessions also highlighted his visit to Latexo High School. Sessions, who currently resides in Waco, graduated from Southwestern University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
