Congressman Pete Sessions, representing Texas's 17th district, has announced his support for the American Relief Act of 2025. This legislation, which received backing from President Trump, has successfully passed.

In a statement following the passage of the act, Congressman Sessions emphasized his commitment to specific provisions within the bill. He stated, “Today, I voted YES for the American Relief Act of 2025. This bill was supported by President Trump and PASSED." He further highlighted his focus on securing aid for the agricultural sector. "From the outset, I made it clear that I would only support a Continuing Resolution that includes vital assistance for our agricultural community," Sessions noted.

The act is designed to provide necessary disaster relief to farmers and ranchers affected by recent hurricanes. It also ensures government funding continuity until March 14, during President Trump's term in office. Congressman Sessions expressed satisfaction with addressing these priorities: "These three priorities were my focus going into these discussions, and I am pleased we were able to address these essential needs of the American people."

Sessions concluded with an expression of readiness for future legislative work: "I look forward to getting back to work in the 119th Congress.”
