Of the 1,193 people living in Gholson in 2019, 52.1 percent (622) were women and 47.9 percent (571) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Waco Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 375-to-362. In the 65 and over age range, there were 133 females and 118 males.
