The Sheth Sangreal Foundation and Jefferies Group will match donations made to Central Texas Food Bank up to $200,000.

According to the Central Texas Food BankBrian Sheth, Austin philanthropist and co-founder of The Sheth Sangreal Foundation and Vista Equity Partners, partnered with Jefferies Group, led by its CEO Rich Handler, to launch a grant match challenge. The contribution will be made in honor of Jefferies Group’s Chief Financial Officer Peg Broadbent, who passed away from COVID-19 in March.

“Jefferies is proud to partner with Brian Sheth and The Sheth Sangreal Foundation in supporting Central Texas Food Bank in its critical work to help those affected by COVID,” Rich Handler said. “Jefferies remains committed to this cause to help those in need as we continue to honor the memory of our CFO, Peg Broadbent, who was taken by this terrible disease.”

Central Texas Food Bank performs vital services during the COVID-19 crisis and provides food to thousands of residents in 21 counties. The challenge is a call to the Central Texas community in a time of need as the pandemic has stretched the organization’s resources to the limit. Once the challenge is met, these donations will enable Central Texas Food Bank to provide up to 1.6 million meals to needy local residents.
