WACO – With the 2020 census around the corner, Waco has started the necessary preparations.
Waco Mayor Kyle Deaver has urged that people complete the census as their response will help to shape Waco's and McLennan County's future.
The county will stand to lose $15,000 over the next 10 years in federal funding for every person who is not counted.
Through the information provided during this process, counties plan effectively for their future and allocate their funding appropriately, according to Fox 44 News.
People with disabilities and special needs should be counted as their needs also will be included in the next budget.
Those in need of more information regarding the coming census should contact the city offices.
