Sen. Brian Birdwell, a Republican representing Texas’s 22nd Senate district since 2010, shared updates on recent events and tributes through his social media posts.

On September 9, 2025, Birdwell attended a commemorative event with local party members. He wrote, “Treat to join the Hamilton County Republicans to remember and honor Sept 11th. Got to present Chairwoman Jocis with the traditional gavel as well.  Hooah”.

Two days later, on September 11, 2025, Birdwell highlighted an academic occasion in Waco. He stated, “Great evening in Waco. Justice Kavanaugh is in town for the McLennan Community College lecture series. Congrats to Dr. McKown and her team and thank you to the Robinsons for hosting. Great opportunity for the MCC students.”

That same evening, Birdwell expressed condolences following the death of a conservative figure: “President Trump says it best: God Bless Charlie Kirk and all he meant to this country and the conservative movement.  God grant Charlie eternal peace and be with his family in this time of their great loss.”

Birdwell has served as state senator since winning election in 2010 after Kip Averitt vacated the seat.
