Sen. Brian Birdwell, Texas State Senator for the 22nd district, shared details of a series of engagements in Waco on October 16, 2025, highlighting activities honoring veterans, educational collaboration, and local political engagement.
Birdwell began his day by participating in a ceremony honoring veterans and the late Stan Parker. In a post on October 16, he wrote, “Full day in Waco today. Honored to join the Parker family to honor veterans and our departed friend Stan Parker for the ribbon cutting of Freedoms Path at the Waco VA. It honors Stan’s vision for supporting veterans and is a great asset to the region.”
Later that evening, Birdwell met with Dr. Pack, Dean of the Baylor School of Engineering, noting optimism for future developments. On October 16, he posted, “Closed out the day in Waco with an office call with Dr Pack, Dean of the Baylor School of Engineering. Great things ahead!”
Birdwell also attended a gathering of the McLennan County Republican club, expressing gratitude for the invitation and long-standing relationships. In a tweet from October 16, he stated, “Also got to visit with the McLennan County Republican club today. Was very nice to see many friends including my former colleague, Doc Anderson. Thank you to the leadership for inviting me and everyone associated for being so great over the years!”
Birdwell, a Republican, has represented Texas’s 22nd Senate district since 2010, succeeding Kip Averitt.
