Pat Curry, a Republican recently elected to the Texas State House representing the 56th district, shared several updates on his Twitter account regarding his legislative activities and participation in state politics.

On July 29, 2025, Curry expressed enthusiasm about his involvement in the state legislature, posting “Excited to be apart! #txlege https://t.co/G1hBcUC47Q”.

Later that day, he highlighted his participation in a press conference supporting Proposition 16 for the upcoming November 4 Constitutional Amendment Election. In his tweet dated July 29, 2025, Curry stated: “Today I was proud to participate in the press conference to support Prop 16 in the Nov 4 Constitutional Amendment Election requiring US Citizenship to vote in Texas! Thanks to @CandyNobleHD89 for organizing! #txlege https://t.co/NKQlAI7DKZ”.

Curry assumed office after being elected in 2024 and succeeded Charles Anderson as representative of Texas’ 56th House district. As an active member of the Texas Legislature (#txlege), he has engaged publicly on social media regarding legislative initiatives such as Proposition 16, which proposes requiring U.S. citizenship for voting eligibility in Texas elections.
