Pat Curry, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 56th district, shared updates on his recent activities at the Capitol and in his district through several posts on X (formerly Twitter) in early August 2025.
On August 5, Curry described a busy day at the Capitol: “Today at the Capitol in between checking in on the floor, I attended a meeting of the Water Caucus, attended the hearing on Disaster Preparedness & Flooding & was even presented with a model rocket display from @SpaceX on loan for the office! Be sure and come check it out!”
The following day, he congratulated an individual named Carmelo for achievements related to workforce development. On August 6, Curry posted: “Now that’s what workforce development is all about!! Congratulations Carmelo!”
Later that same day, Curry expressed gratitude to fellow lawmaker Dustin Burrows for allowing representatives to return briefly to their districts. He wrote: “I appreciate @Burrows4TX allowing us to go back briefly to our districts today so & tomorrow. Today I was able to make the @WacoChamber Mid-Year Membership Meeting. Everyone there was treated to an in-depth update on the water, natural gas & electricity issues facing our region.”
Curry began serving as state representative after being elected in 2024, succeeding Charles Anderson as representative for Texas’s 56th House district.
