Pat Curry, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 56th district since 2024, recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing both the passing of a prominent public official and ongoing political developments in Texas.

On August 6, 2025, Curry expressed condolences regarding the death of J. Bruce Bugg, Jr., stating: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Chairman J. Bruce Bugg, Jr. His leadership on the Texas Transportation Commission helped shape the future of our state’s infrastructure and improve the lives of countless Texans.
