Baylor softball will begin its longest remaining road stretch with a Wednesday matinee at UT-Arlington, followed by a three-game series against No. 23 Kansas, according to an April 7 announcement. All games will be available on ESPN+.

The Bears aim to sweep the season series from UT-Arlington after winning their previous matchup in Waco last month, highlighted by walk-on freshman Ella Brown’s walk-off double that ended the game via run rule. This stretch is part of a busy period for Baylor, as the team is set to play 12 games in nine days before returning home to face No. 13 Texas A&M.

Baylor recently completed a weekend series against Houston that included the second-longest regular-season game in league history and the second-longest in Baylor program history. Pitcher Cambree Creager threw all 15 innings for Baylor during that marathon contest, marking the second-most innings pitched in program history and setting a new record with 250 pitches thrown. Senior Amber Toven also set a program record with seven at-bats during the same game.

This season, Baylor has demonstrated resilience by coming from behind to win five times when trailing after four innings, including a seven-run rally against Houston last Saturday. However, their comeback attempt fell short Monday against Lamar despite overcoming an early deficit; it marked their first loss this year when leading after six innings.

The Bears recently surpassed 500 all-time wins at Getterman Stadium and are on track for their 26th home winning season out of the venue’s 27-year existence. Head coach Glenn Moore achieved his own milestone this year by surpassing 1,100 career wins—a figure ranking him ninth among active Division I coaches—and he is now in his thirtieth season as head coach.

Looking ahead, Baylor faces several matchups against nationally ranked teams and continues to rely on strong performances from players such as Creager and Peyton Tanner—both Texas natives who transferred back home—as well as standout freshmen Kaygen Marshall and Gianna Gusman.
