BELTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT: Superintedent Message to Big Red Community

Announce

Belton Independent School District issued the following announcement.

It’s time to deck the halls, jingle bells and rock around the Christmas tree. Winter Break is here!

As you’re making plans to rejoice, relax and rejuvenate with your family, please stay vigilant against COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Bell County Public Health District both implore that staying home and celebrating virtually is best. But if you do travel during the holidays, please follow the health organizations’ suggestions:

  • Check travel restrictions before you go.
  • Get a flu shot before traveling.
  • Always wear a mask in public settings.
  • Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your mask, eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Bring extra masks and hand sanitizer with you.
During the break, parents are encouraged to call Belton ISD Health Services at (254) 215-2042 to report COVID-19 test results. The school district will continue reporting positive cases to the Bell County Public Health District and supporting daily contact tracing. Updates to the district’s COVID-19 active case dashboard and email notifications of positive cases will occur on Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. Daily dashboard updates and email notifications will resume Jan. 4.

We look forward to welcoming the Big Red Community back to campus in 2021 - staff on Jan. 4 and students on Jan. 6!
